New York: Adeam Spring 2015

Inspired by Yves Klein’s “Anthropometry” paintings (created by smearing nude models with his trademark ultra marine pigment and having them press their bodies onto canvas, sometimes as performance art) designer Hanako Maeda of Adeam created an energizing array of pieces for her Spring 2015 collection.

Dabbling in both clean sleek silhouettes in Neoprene, and fluttering flowing looks in lighter knits and pleated silks,  Maeda showed off her ability to master conception and construction in a wide variety of ways. So many of the shows looks were crave-worthy but my favorites had to be the boxy neoprene top and pencil skirt trimmed in pops of orange that opened the show, and the similarly silhouetted deep navy and black two piece that appeared midway through the show.
